We believe Running Crazy running tours and holidays are the best on the market. We strive to ensure that everything is just right to ensure your race, your stay, your travel arrangements are all exactly as you would want them to be – as good as if booking it yourself!
Looking after your personal data is an important part of these arrangements. We want you to be confident that your data is safe and secure with us. We want you to be aware how we use it and what your rights regarding it’s use are.
DATA CONTROLLER:
The data controller is Running Crazy Ltd, whether you book through our .co.uk site, our .com site, or any of our Training Camp sites (Majorca, Malaga or Barcelona).
PERSONAL DATA WE COLLECT:
Application:
When you complete an application for initial information on one or more of the events we offer, we obtain basic information so that we can supply a response. Normally this will just be a name, post code, ‘phone number (optional) and an E-Mail address. We also enquire how you came to hear of us.
Booking:
When you book to travel with us, then by a secure encrypted online booking form or postal return form, you share:-
Traveller information including names, dates of birth, and passport details.
Race entry information such as anticipated finish time, T-Shirt sizes
Arrival and departure flight details.
Accommodation requirements (type of room, duration of stay, occupants).
This information is sufficient for us to make your tour arrangements – Airport meet and greet, transfer arrangements, accommodation requirements and race entry.
Personal data you provide about other individuals
We use personal data about other individuals provided by you, such as those people on your booking.
By providing other people’s personal data, you must be sure that they agree to this and that you are allowed to provide it. You should ensure that where appropriate, they understand how their personal data may be used by us.
Using your personal data:
To provide the ‘Running Crazy’ products and services you request
This will include forwarding the minimum of information to race organisers for race entry, and hotels and transfer agents for accommodation and transfers.
To manage and improve the ‘Running Crazy’ products and services
We are always looking for improvements in how and what we offer.
To personalise your ‘Running Crazy’ experience
We recognise individuals and want to provide an unforgettable experience.
To make contact with you
We need to send you details of the event and reminders of action to take at key moments.
Marketing
Our marketing database has been obtained on a permission only basis. You will have freely consented to us contacting you. We will occasionally send a marketing mail shot with relevant offers and news about our products and services.
We do not and will not share our marketing database with any third parties.
Protecting your personal data:
We take security measures to help ensure your personal data is protected at all times. This includes accidental loss, unauthorised access, use, alteration and disclosure.
Use outside European Economic Area (EEA):
The personal data that we collect from you may be transferred to, and stored at, a destination outside the European Economic Area (EEA). This could include race events and also our marketing database (presently administered in Canada). We put in place appropriate protections to ensure that your personal data is treated in line with the General Data Protection Regulation – GDPR.
Data retention:
We will retain your personal data only for as long as is necessary – normally until an event you have booked for is completed. After this period, we will securely erase/delete/destroy personal data. If data is needed after this period for legitimate business purposes, then we will take appropriate steps to keep it secure.
Algorithms and technology:
We do not use any form of cookies (data files) or algorithms on our websites or in the collection of personal data.
Accessing and updating your personal data:
You have a right to ask for a copy of the personal data that we hold on you. Simply E-Mail info@runningcrazy.co.uk or write to our registered postal address 18 Octavius Court, Waterlooville, Hants, PO7 8LY. Data protection is handled by Malcolm Hargraves.
We want to make sure that the personal data that we hold about you is accurate and up to date. If any of these details are incorrect - please advise us.
You can also ask us to delete or erase any personal data we hold on you, at any time.
Changes to this notice
This Privacy Policy Notice replaces all previous versions.
