The Weekend:
Last year over 300 people travelled with ‘Running Crazy Ltd’ to this event. With a great race, good class hotel accommodation with transport to and from the race start/finish, sightseeing tours, a fantastic after race party, and all at crazily cheap prices, you can see why it is becoming more and more popular.

Running Crazy has been granted exclusive rights as the only UK Tour operator to offer the Majorca Marathon and Half Marathon from 2009 onwards. All english speaking applicants will be directed to Running Crazy who have a guaranteed entry of 400.

The Race:

The Marathon and Half Marathon both start early evening and the 10K shortly after.

Time limits:
Marathon - 5 1/2 hours, Half Marathon - 3 hours, 10K - 90 minutes.

The course is relatively flat and scenic, taking in the tourist towns of Magaluf, Santa Ponsa and Palma Nova. Many runners have achieved PBs on this course.

Spectators and Supporters:
We know how important spectators and supporters are at these events. We provide a supporters package at no extra charge. We will advise where on the course are the most advantageous spectator positions, and how to get there easily and in time for the race. More often than not we will take you there and join you for a cup of coffee and have a few surprises planned whilst awaiting the first sight of the runners! All our hotels are comfortably furnished with TV and entertainment facilities - many have spas, pools and saunas too.

Charity Runners:
'Running Crazy' are delighted to welcome runners who are raising sponsorship for registered charities. We know that the great feeling of accomplishment when completing the race, feels even better when you are helping others in to the bargain! See our Run for Charity link to choose a charity that you can help. Many charities listed there will provide special runners packs including sponsorship forms and tips, and also charity running vests. Just contact them with your details and tell them you intend to run with 'Running Crazy' on their behalf. In addition we will provide you with a 'Running Crazy' Certificate confirming your achievement and result, and also a special commemorative prize. Just specify the charity name in your 'Application'.

Accommodation:
‘Running Crazy Ltd’ have secured good class hotel accommodation on a bed and breakfast basis in Palma de Mallorca. We have arranged transport to and from the race start/finish area and an exclusive 'Running Crazy' changing room and toilets. This is ideal for kit security, aswell as showering and changing facilities. All rooms are comfortable include breakfast (served earlier on race day).

The Weather:
The last 4 years have seen perfect weather conditions for running – cool but sunny.

- humidity: 75% (at 0700 hrs) 65% (at 14.00 hrs)

Entertainment:
Ensuring that your supporters, and friends & family are kept interested and occupied is an important consideration. There are ample bars, cafes and restaurants in the area. Don’t forget the After-Race Presentation, and of course the After Race Party, which goes on late in to the night. In addition there are optional sightseeing tours to Palma, Valdemossa for the tourist sights, and Puerto Portals for upmarket shopping or just relaxing by the luxury yachts in the Marina.

Groups:
This weekend offers a great opportunity for Clubs, or training partners to get together.
Some Clubs already make this event their annual outing, and it is ideally suited, it combines a race, some fun, and shopping all in one. Travelling together may also be more convenient. There are discounts available for large groups (20+), but even a group of just 10, will qualify for an additional prize for the first or last to finish.

Prices
Our all inclusive prices are extremely competitive - from as little as just £149 for the weekend - we know we cannot be beaten on price - and our runners continually tell us that they receive so much more on a 'Running Crazy' weekend break. All our 'resort races' offer half board accommodation, and for our 'Big City' races we know all the best value places to eat, drink and have fun. Indeed we book these for our pre-race and after race gatherings, meaning groups and individuals can just sit back, relax, make new running pals and let us do any worrying. No tourist traps for our clients! We know these races and places inside out, and will advise on what to see and do over the weekend, provide directions and maps - all very useful when on a tight timescale. All you have to do is run!

I want to thank you for a great weekend - all of us at Handsworth Roadhogs had a really good time. I thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. The hotel was lovely. I was very impressed with the food and particularly because I am a Vegan - there was plenty of choice even soy milk at breakfast! The staff were very friendly and helpful and of course the 'Running Crazy' team were brilliant. I enjoyed the race (despite the wet weather). I have run a few half marathons but have never witnessed the finish of a marathon before. I was surprised at how emotional I found it and was full of admiration for all the finishers. I may even be inspired enough to do one myself one day! The icing on the cake was me winning a trophy - great!
